I was referred to this CD by a trusted friend, so I purchased it.

And while this Seattle-based quartet does pray to the god of Alice in Chains and Soundgarden on tunes such as "Tonight," it also ably beefs up the testosterone with the thug boogie of "Soft" and moodily waxes … Although this is still touted as Second Coming's debut album, that is needless to say a bit misleading as there was another one before it called L.O.V.Evil. I figured it would be some sort of death metal, Satan band, which is not my kind of tune. I will say this though. Musical trends change at the speed of light.

Very good album I highly recommend this album, if you are looking for a post Grunge band to listen too.

The band is post grunge, but definitely sounds as if they came out of Seattle along with Alice in Chains. Sadly after he left, the band, with equally talented musicians just didn't stick it out.

2 talking about this. Second Coming's self-titled album is truly a beautiful album. 1 Dudley (guitars, keyboards), James (drums), and Yanni (bass guitar) perfectly complete the powerful pictures painted by Travis's hypnotic vocals.

Second Coming is about the music, and what they create cannot be described by mere words alone, but … 1 Kudos!!

The guitar work of Dudley Taft is tasteful, epic and catchy...and what ultimately gave the band the magic that brought them success.
