Garrett said his experiences traveling and creating a blog, “The Bucket List Family,” to capture the adventures have been very rewarding.“I’ve loved creating a brand around my family and the values that we hold,” Garrett said.Garrett said some of his old investors have asked when he plans to stop traveling and go back to work, but Garrett and Jessica have built another successful business from their travels.Jessica said the family blog and social media now pay for their adventurous travels.“It started off as a family vacation, but now has turned into a family business of sorts,” Jessica said.
Unsurprisingly, countries with naturally beautiful scenery or world-famous landmarks came out on top. When I was 21 I moved to Vladivostok, Russia to serve a mission for I love exercising, nutrition, and cooking.
Then I was called CEO of my own company. Quite possibly our favorite food thanks to Korean BBQ and something called Bingsu.
Oh, and we need to go for the Northern Lights! We have visited Panama once before but only for 1 day, so we were so excited to go back!
Most of it lives on my instagram. We quickly realized it was better for us to stay longer in this beautiful country and really enjoy what it had to offer. We absolutely love the crystal clear waters in Exuma, Bahamas. We stayed in a beautiful over the water bungalow which allowed ample time to swim with the wildlife! It’s always worth it to stop there for a few days, you can enjoy the amazing malls and get out to the desert. We are the Gee family, just your “average” family working from all around the world as Family Travel Journalists! It has it all - Adventure, Culture and Service! We’ve actually been 8 times together as a couple. From the community baths, to the parks, shopping and the river cruises we had such a fun time.
I wasn’t even born yet when my family began this adventure around the world. Calihan is an Irish name (my mom's heritage) and my middle name is Matisse. The Bucket List Family became social media sensations after Garrett Gee, a young Utah husband with two kids, sold his scanning app to Snapchat … Once we arrived it was very clear as to why! Absolutely add Bhutan to your own bucket list. Through these opportunities, we met so many incredible individuals and we cannot wait to come back and visit soon! A very underrated city that you should definitely check out if you’re in Europe!Right before baby Cali came, Garrett took the older kiddos to Jamaica for a week.
Hello and kon'nichiwa! A few years and many countries later, the Gees and their three young children — Dorothy, Manilla and Calihan — are traveling adventure journalists known collectively as the Bucket List Family.
We got to see over 100 baby sea turtles hatching, swim with wild dolphins and snorkel every day. It has THE best coral reef we’ve seen, there was so much wildlife! Pizza, gelato, spagetti, lasagna, gelato, caprese, gelato, did I mention gelato? I also like dark chocolate, Michael Bolton, the Denver Broncos, gardening and looking at the stars.I'm really close with my parents and siblings, they gave me a great foundation of love and family that I have strived to carry on in my own family. We love England. We especially love the people there that are so down to earth. We sailed in the most incredible boat… actually it was a pirate ship and had the time of our lives. We absolutely love it! My parents didn’t know this at the time, but I quickly taught them that the most difficult age to travel with a toddler is that 1yr-2yrs old. The style was our favorite and we hope to visit again soon. Seeing the Pyramids of Giza should be on everyone’s travel bucket list. In the afternoon we’d all go over to a nearby orphanage and teach/play with the kids. It’s not always easy to have friends while we travel so much so I’ve had to learn really well to step outside my comfort zone and makes friends quickly.My role in The Bucket List Family is helping raise my 2 little brothers, being brave during our adventures, and more and more I’m beginning to help dad with the videos and taking photos!Hiya everybody! We’ve had a few different visits to Greece and we were able to experience the Greek Isles as well as the Western Coast of Greece. enjoy every moment This was one of those places that you couldn’t help but relax and seriously enjoy every single moment!We seriously love Tahiti with our whole hearts, so this time around we really enjoyed spending time with those who joined us for our Bucket List group expedition! It was pretty hot when we visited but we still had an absolute blast and really appreciated their invite to dive into their traditions. We didn’t do too much research before arriving so we we’re so thrilled to find great people, fun festivals and celebrations, and beautiful beaches.Our home. We worked with a very special lodge - TAASA that’s full of off-roading animal encounters, night drives and visits to the nearby Maasai village. Thousands of single use plastic like straws, forks, knives and water bottles end up in our ecosystems around the world and they are very harmful to the health and wellbeing of the animals who live in these fragile environments. Oh, Italy. !Korea is one of our favorite countries. We can’t wait to go back! It was one of our most memorable experiences as a family and Dorothy’s first time in “school.”We recently went back and this time we had some pretty cool friends join us! Turks and Caicos is such an convenient getaway and we highly recommend a visit there if you’re looking to stay close to the U.S. but still want to get out of the country.Most of the world already knows how special France is and honestly, it lives up to its reputation and high expectations very well. Guess who won?The Bahamas has some of our favorite water in the whole wide world. I was studying Advertising and Garrett was It was a difficult decision to reset our lives and sell everything but we’re grateful everyday that we took that chance and were brave. Really, we understand how unique and AMAZING this opportunity is to take on the adventures of life TOGETHER as family.
