Polaroid isn't what you'd call a bad film, it's pretty watchable, the main issue with it, is that it lacked any degree of originality.

In sé l'idea di una vecchia macchina fotografica istantanea, i cui scatti possono risultare mortali, è una buona trovata vintage. La tensione della messa in scena viene oscurata da una sceneggiatura piena di cliché. Polaroid è un film horror-soprannaturale del 2019 diretto da Lars Klevberg, basato sull'omonimo cortometraggio del 2015. Sente rumori inquietanti provenienti dalla soffitta. La storia si dipana in modo prevedibile sino alla parte finale nella quale ci sono alcune svolte narrative giocate con discreta capacità allo scopo di creare tensione e, soprattutto, incertezza e sorpresa. In definitiva, Klevberg non riesce a operare in modo del tutto efficace la transizione dal corto al lungo del suo concetto iniziale, ma dimostra qualità nella regia che fanno ben sperare per le sue prossime prove. Quella stessa notte Sarah nota che la fotografia mostra una figura oscura in piedi dietro di lei.
